An Unexpected Discovery
A quiet walk in the woodland near my home, the place where everything began. I went out looking for autumn colors, hoping to find a composition that felt right.
Nothing seemed to work. Every tree felt wrong, every direction cluttered.
But just as I was about to head back, one tree caught my eye.
Monochrome Stillness
A lone boat resting on the riverbank, transformed from color into fine-art black and white.
The edit begins with a linear camera profile in Adobe Camera Raw, then continues in Photoshop where light, tone, and subtle contrast are shaped to create a sense of quiet balance.
Quiet Rocky Waters
In this video, I edit a rocky stream photo that came out dark and heavy straight from the camera. Through some adjustments in Camera Raw and Photoshop, I bring back the gentle light, depth, and calm atmosphere I felt when capturing the scene.
The Old Lady’s Head
Learn how to edit a photo from color to black & white using Camera Raw and Photoshop. My subject is a rock known as the Old Lady’s Head, and at the end I’ll show the finished print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308.
The Leaning Tree
Editing a quiet roadside tree leaning toward the river. Turning a dark, flat RAW file into the calm scene I saw that morning. Camera Raw and Photoshop bring balance, depth, and subtle cleanup while keeping a natural look.
The House that Waits
Editing a mossy wall, autumn ferns, and an abandoned house. Transforming a flat RAW file into a vibrant autumn scene. Step by step: Camera Raw base edit, focus stacking with TK9, dodge & burn for depth, and a subtle Orton effect for atmosphere.
The Hidden Shed
Step-by-step Photoshop edit of an old riverside shed — from RAW files to a polished landscape photo. Focus stacking, natural light and color work, dodge & burn, Orton effect, and TK9 plugin adjustments bring depth and atmosphere to the final image.
The Rock with a Face
Re-editing a 2023 waterfall photo that originally had harsh contrast and unnatural color. Step by step from Camera Raw to Photoshop, profiles, dodge & burn, luminosity masks, a subtle Orton glow—to reach a natural, balanced result, and a Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 print.
The 3 Sisters
Editing a foggy forest photo from Serra da Estrela, Portugal — a shot I loved but spent three years trying to edit until it finally felt right. Follow the full black-and-white process from Camera Raw to Photoshop, finishing with a fine art matte print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308.
